Review and score
Check each rally and say who won it. The score works itself out.
The Review and score tab takes you through the rallies one by one. It's the quickest way to check the cuts and enter the score.
Go through the rallies
Watch the rally, then press a key:
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
1 or 2 | This team won the point. Goes to the next rally. |
3 | No point: a first-serve fault or a let. It stays in the video, and the score doesn't change. |
Backspace | Not a point: warm-up, feeding, a break. It comes out of the video and the score. |
Enter | The rally is fine. Goes to the next rally. |
Shift Enter | Back to the previous rally. |
E | Jump to how the point ended. |
R | Replay the whole rally. |
M | Star it as a highlight. |
You can also click the buttons. Your work saves by itself, so you can stop and come back later.
Fix a rally
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| It starts too late or too early | Z starts it earlier, X later. Or drag its edge on the small timeline. |
| It ends too late or too early | C ends it earlier, V later. |
| Two points in one rally | Move to where they change and press S to split it. |
| One point in two rallies | J joins it with the next rally, Shift J with the previous one. |
| A point is missing | Drag across the empty space on the small timeline. Or press Space to play past the end of the rally, stop at the missed point and press A. |
| A real point you don't want to show | Shift Backspace cuts it from the video, and it still counts in the score. |
These actions are also in the More menu. Press Ctrl Z (⌘ Z on a Mac) to undo.
Rallies to check
OrcaEye marks rallies that may be wrong, and says why:
- the cutter is unsure (OrcaEye isn't sure about this rally)
- shorter than a second
- longer than 30 s
- very close to the previous rally
- long gap before it: a missed point?
They're usually fine, but take a look. In the Editor tab, the To check filter of the rally list shows only these.
Do I have to score every rally?
No, but the score on the video stops changing at the first point with no winner. The export tells you when that's the case.
If you don't want a scoreboard, you don't need to say who won. Just check the cuts.
OrcaEye asks who served first
Answer it once: the scoreboard needs it to show who serves. If you don't use the scoreboard, close the question with ✕.
