Your videos and privacy
What we keep, who can see it, and how to delete it.
This page is a summary. The full text is in our privacy policy and terms.
What we keep
We keep the 720p copy of your video, its analysis, and your edits. Your original file stays on your computer: we never receive it.
Your data is stored in the EU. The video analysis may run on servers in the United States.
Who can see my videos?
You. We never publish your videos or use them in our marketing without your permission.
Only our team can access them, and only when needed: to run OrcaEye, fix a problem, keep it secure, or build training data.
We track where the players and the ball are on the court, and tell the players of a match apart. We don't use facial recognition, and we don't try to work out who anyone is.
Is my video used for training?
We may use your videos and their analysis to improve our models. Videos picked for this go into a training set that only our team can access, and may stay there after you delete the match.
To stop this, write to hello@orcaeye.ai. We then stop using your videos and remove them from our training sets. Models that are already trained can't "unlearn", but they won't be trained on your videos again.
Delete a video
Open the match's Settings tab, then What's stored:
- Delete the uploaded copy removes the 720p copy and the working files. Your edits stay, but you then need your original file to edit, and nobody can find rallies in the video any more.
- Delete the match removes it from your account and deletes the copy and the analysis. Your original file isn't touched. We keep a record of the match and its edits until you delete your account.
Still frames taken from your video are deleted 30 days after the analysis ends.
The people in your videos
When you upload a video, you confirm that you have the right to use it, and that the people who can be recognised in it agree. For anyone under 16, a parent or guardian must agree.
Keep your originals
OrcaEye isn't a backup. Keep your own copy of your videos and exports.
